On Your Toes is a performing arts school based in Basingstoke with classes running after school and at weekends.

We never forget that although good dance technique is very important, many of our pupils have other aspirations in mind. We never reject those who are not born as great dancers, or those who just want to have fun, socialise with others and enjoy the pleasure of taking part in dance classes, shows, events and summer schools.

Dance is a great way of inspiring social confidence and pleasure in children and their parents. We try to avoid any kind of dance snobbery, thus including a very wide range of dancers, from all walks of life. We think that everyone should be able to enjoy dance.

Our pupils range from the two year olds in the Nursery Ballet classes, through to our senior students studying for their vocational qualifications, all the way up to the specialist adult only sessions. Something to suit everyone!

All of our classes are held at the Active Life Centre on Stephenson Road, Basingstoke in purpose built dance studios with sprung floors, mirrors, barres and air conditioning.

We hold regular examination sessions for ISTD Ballet, Tap, Modern and Jazz.We also hold a school show biannually with all pupils invited to take part. February 2011 saw On Your Toes performing 'Circus' at the Haymarket Theatre, Basingstoke.  Our next show will be held early 2013.  February 2011 also saw On Your Toes performing in Bobby Dazzlers at Her Majesty's Theatre in Londons infamous Westend. 

We also run many additional events throughout the school year including an annual Summer Showcase, a Summer School, workshops with West End performers, choreography competitions and trips to see professional shows to name a few.
